Snow Princess

I took advantage of the snow to do a fun shoot with some of our pettiskirts! Audrey had great fun! And I got to use my newest prop, an old wooden sled!

We have had quite the weather this week. Starting last Sunday when it started snowing, and then lasting all week, the kids missed all but Thursday of the last week of school before Christmas break. Yesterday evening it starting pouring down freezing rain on top of the 5 inches of snow we already had making things even more treacherous and wintery. I have to admit I LOVE the lighting the snow gives. And my kids are thrilled with it too!

My mother in law really wanted pictures of the whole family together, and wanted me to take them, I wasn't sure how I was going to get the kids to look at the camera, and getting settings right ect till I thought about my brother. He came to visit for Thanksgiving and is also a photographer, though he tends to focus more on scenery/nature than people. So I set everything up, posed us and let him push the button. Worked great! I sure wish he lived closer, we could make a great team! Thanks for the help Jim!

Miss Lacey

I have known Lacey since she was just coming into her teen years, her and her family have always held a special place in my heart, and I was so honored to be asked to take her Sr. pictures!

We had such a fun day, her mom came to me a few weeks ago and said, "I have an idea what do you think?" Let me just say, I was giddy with the idea when I heard it! Lava rocks, fall leaves, beautiful girl, doesn't get much better than that does it!

life has been busy here, with a trip to Idaho, school field trips, and birthday's ect there hasn't been much time to schedule photoshoots. I do have a couple shots of my own kids I wanted to share.

Grand Teton National Park

I am in Idaho visiting my brother, his wife and new baby!

Today my bro and I got up at 4:30 am MT time (which is 3:30 my time lol) and drove to Grand Teton N.P. to catch the sunrise. It was a bit of a gamble because the forecast called for rain, and it rained 75% of the way there, but we got there and it was raining, so we went for a bathroom run, then the skies started to clear and it was beautiful!

then we saw this guy on the side of the road on the way home.

Allie wanted to do two shoots, one with straight hair and one with curly, so we went out yesterday for the second round! Allie, thank you for making my job so easy!
